Bobby Lashley wants Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre in triple threat match for WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37
Bobby Lashley says he wants to fight Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 37.
The All Mighty has made no secret of his desire to face Lesnar in the past, but recently admitted he has been told ‘several times’ it won’t happen in WWE.
However, Lashley is still holding out hope and would like to challenge current WWE champion McIntyre and The Beast in a triple threat match for the company’s top title at WrestleMania 37 in April.
He told Sports Illustrated: “I want that fight, I want that title.
“Drew is old-school. He fits into any era. He’s tough, he’s real. We have a lot of unfinished business.
“We have history. We’ve met in the ring before, we were tag partners, and we know each other real well. Drew is ‘The Chosen One’.
“That’s not me, I’m someone that fought for it. There is so much potential for our fights.
“Adding Brock always adds a lot. He’s as real as it gets, and he’s someone I want in the ring.
“So I’m open to that, but Drew and I can do it on our own, too. There are a lot of options, which is great for everyone.”
Lashley’s immediate attention will be on the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view when he defends his United States Championship against Keith Lee and Matt Riddle this Sunday.
Meanwhile, McIntyre puts his WWE title on the line against AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Kofi Kingston inside the chamber.
Lesnar has not been seen in a wrestling ring since losing the WWE Championship to McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.
It is believed the former UFC star will not be returning to WWE until arenas are able to host fans in full capacity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
