Jake Paul trains with UFC star Jorge Masvidal ahead of fight with Ben Askren and claims he’ll knock him out in four seconds… and then calls out Nate Diaz
Jake Paul has been training with Jorge Masvidal ahead of his fight with Ben Askren later this year.
Masvidal famously knocked out Askren in just five seconds with a devastating knee to the head back at UFC 239 in 2019.
YouTuber Paul is facing the former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion in April and has vowed to post a faster knockout than ‘Gamebred’.
He also took the opportunity to call out Nate Diaz in his post on Instagram.
Paul wrote: “He knocked out my opponent @benaskren in 5 seconds and now will help me do it in less time.. @gamebredfighter is teaching me his secrets… April 17th the fight will last less than 4 seconds and then we coming for @natediaz209.”
On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Paul will face former UFC fighter Askren in an eight-round professional bout in the ring.
The 24-year-old will clash with Askren on April 17 under the Triller Fight Club banner – the same organisation which hosted Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr.
The internet personality has clamoured for a fight with Conor McGregor ever since he knocked out Nate Robinson in his second pro bout.
However, the Irishman has insisted he is focusing solely on his MMA career and is likely to seek an instant rematch with Dustin Poirier, who knocked him out at UFC 257, and Paul has now switched targets.
Paul’s brother Logan, meanwhile, is gearing up to face boxing great Floyd Mayweather but the date is yet unconfirmed.
