London news: Police hunt knifeman after vicious knife attack leaves teen fighting for life | UK | News
A young victim was rushed to hospital with ‘life-threatening’ wounds after being repeatedly stabbed in a street in north London, according to Haringey Police.
Police and paramedics were called to the area following the purported attack at around 9.10pm.
Haringey Police shared an update on the victim’s condition on their Twitter account.
They tweeted: “Police called at 21.10hrs to West Green Road, junction with Willow Walk N15, following reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended with LAS and found a male, aged in his teens, suffering from stab injuries.
“CPR was administered at the scene before the victim was taken to hospital.
In a separate incident in London, a 74-year-old man suffered a knife injury, and was pronounced dead just before 12.30pm in a home in West Park, Mottingham.
Officers have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
The suspect is believed to have known the victim, and has since been taken to a south London police station.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran said of the investigation: “At this very early stage we retain an open mind as to the circumstance surrounding this death, but, I can confirm that we are not seeking any other persons in connection with the incident.”
