Britons must be aged 16 or over, and usually must not have reached state pension age in order to claim.

The organisation Versus Arthritis has described PIP as an “important benefit” for many people living with the health condition.

It is likely to be worth exploring further, then, to see how much one will be able to receive in support.

At present, PIP is split into two main tiers – a daily living part and a mobility element.
