Prince Harry’s friends poised to commit ‘ultimate sin’ over book | Royal | News

The Duke of Sussex has sent shockwaves around the world after confirming plans to publish his first memoir next year. Harry, 36, said the book will be an “accurate and wholly truthful” account of his life experiences.

However, it comes on the back of a number of explosive interviews and it is claimed those closest to him fear more shocking revelations are to come.

Royal expert Daniela Elser has highlighted reports suggesting allies of the Duke may be prepared to retaliate if they are dragged through the wringer in his book.

She wrote in the New Zealand Herald: “This week various groups who once made up Harry’s inner circle are reportedly considering committing what used to be the ultimate sin in the eyes of any self-respecting HRH and speaking out about him.

“Both William and Harry enjoyed decades-long friendships with boys they have known since they were sent to Ludgrove prep school at age 8.

“Not a single one has ever sold Harry out and dished on the princes’ lives, no matter the very large, oleaginous cheques the tabloid press would have, I’m assuming, waved enticingly in their direction (stately homes aren’t cheap to heat, you know).

“All that could be about to change, with Harry’s mates allegedly threatening to mutiny and dish the dirt if the royal should reveal too much about their younger days in his forthcoming, as yet untitled memoir.”

It comes as one royal insider told the Daily Mail: “If Harry slams any of his old school and military buddies in his new book they have pledged to break ranks to tell their story.”

Authors of Finding Freedom have added a new epilogue to their best-seller to include Meghan and Harry’s infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey and the death of Prince Philip.

Publishers Harper Collins said: “Behind the scenes of Harry and Meghan’s ground breaking interview with Oprah, details behind the couple’s move to California [and] the various philanthropic and business endeavours the Sussexes have been involved with since their move and what’s to come with Archewell Productions.”

They added it will also feature: “The continuous challenges the couple face regarding privacy and the British press [and] the heartbreak the couple felt over Prince Philip’s death.”
